ITEMS NEEDED FOR THE JUNIOR VEST: Purchase a vest that the girls can GROW into. Large or XLarge

1)Girl Scouts U.S.A. identification strip

2)Council identification strip

3)Troop crest should be centered under ID strips.

4) Troop number

5) Transfer all the membership stars from the Brownie Vest

6) Junior Rainbow-shaped Bridge to Junior Girl Scouts

7)Brownie wings. If you were ever a registered Brownie Girl Scout, you may wear these gold wings.

8)Insignia tab. The Junior Girl Scout tab is teal and made of felt. (the GIRL SCOUT PIN AND WORLD PIN ARE WORN HERE)

9)World Association pin. transferred from Brownie vest

10) Girl Scout membership pin. Junior Girl Scouts can wear either the traditional gold pin or the faces

11)Badges that they will earn on this event

12) Flag patch if interested goes above ID

13) Leave space between the wings and the bridge for the Junior Aide patch (WILL EARN LATER takes about a year or so)

14) They will also need to purchase the JUNIOR BADGE BOOK.

15) The Junior Handbook has also skits stories etc that the girls will read and need to complete some of the badges.

 

Our 3rd Grade BROWNIE FUN DAY.....
BRIDGING TO JUNIORS!

WHERE: SULLY STATION POLICE STATION

WHEN: May 14th ( SUNDAY)

SUNDAY: 3-5:30 PM

Parents should drop off their girls at 3.....then they will need to come back at 5 to watch the briding ceremony (refreshments will be served)

 
 
Please provide us with a list of the attendees so we can issue bridging certificates, name tags, and bags.
 

Items completed:

All the requirements for earning their bridge from Brownies to JUNIOR GIRL SCOUTS.

In addition to that they will earn 2 badges

Making Hobbies and World Neighbors.

 

Some activities include:

Learning about Junior Scouting and viewing a vest of 3 years work.

Opening Flag Ceremony, with color guards etc.

Closing Ceremonies and bridging ceremonies.

Eating SMORES and singing songs.

Complete a Service Project.

Make a bracelet.

Craft projects and learning about other countries.

View jewelry and costumes from other countries.

 

The leaders will be provided with pre-made invitations for their bridging ceremony.

There will be a bridge for the girls to walk over and an ARCH of beautiful flowers to walk through.

The fee is $12 for this event. Supplies, craft items, refreshments, bridging certificates etc are also included. We hope to see you there. Please contact CHERYLE with any questions or concerns.
