USE THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS AS A GUIDE> COMPLETE 1

  1. Watch a TV game show and see how many of the answers you can get correct. Would you change the game anyway to make it better?

  2. Many TV actors have to practice their lines daily in order to get it right the first take. Look up some dialogue from one of your favorite shows and see if you can recite the words with the correct emotion and lines the first take. Did you have to practice a lot?

  3. Learn some of the acting lingo that is used on stage. ACTION! = Either physical or verbal, action happens in the start of the scene you are acting in. Choose another word to learn the meaning of. Some examples of other words to learn are cue, take, print it, more emotion, hit your mark, improv, lead role, supporting role, read-through, pace yourself, pause, tag line, backstage and off stage. http://www.learner.org/interactives/cinema/acting3.html

  4. Take a popular TV Show and write a few lines of a "script" improving or changing the show. What did you change? Did you write a new character in the show or delete one?

  5. Attend a filming of a show or game show. Is it different than you thought?

  6. TV Shows can be emotional. Watch two different shows how was one different from the other? Did the characters portray the emotions in the show correctly?

  7. Learn more about the characters on the TV show. Are they from your country or another country? What made them a good fit for the role they are playing? Was it their hobbies?

  8. TV stations try to make shows more interesting so people will watch them. The more people watch the show the longer the show will stay on air. What are the top 5 shows of this week or month playing in your area? Why do you think they are popular? [characters, setting, or profile of the show]

  9. What is your favorite TV show? When you watch it this week, write down three things you like about the show. Is that why you watch it every week?
