CELEBRATING 100 YEARS OF SCOUTING PATCH AND BARS

Patch Item #100-YR-CELEBRATE $1.55 each[METALLIC EDGE]

Bar Item# [Name of the bar] $1.00 each [METALLIC EDGE]

There are no requirements to earn the patch. It is a commemorative patch to celebrate the 100 years of scouting.

The bars were created to note the items you participated during the celebration school year. [2011-2012]

To earn the bars follow the below requirements:

1. Baking Fun- Participate in ONE of the following: Have a bake sale, bake-off, donate bake goods, decorate a cupcake, make cookies, help cook at home, or participate in baking or cooking related activity.

2. Sing A Long- Participate in ONE of the following: caroling, singing songs with your group, karaoke, learn a folk song from another country, or participate in any singing activity.

3. Parade- Participate in ONE of the following: attend a parade, help organize a parade, carry a flag or banner in a parade, ride a float in a parade, or participate in any parade related activity.

4. Helping Others- Participate in ONE of the following: create something for the needy, blankets, cards or gift bags; help organize a community service event, collect something for those in need, coats, food, books or pajamas; attend an event that has community service activities; or participate in any community service related activity.

5. Outdoor Fun- Participate in ONE of the following: hiking, picnic, campout, outdoor cooking, games, water games, swimming, letterboxing, horseback riding, OR participate in any outdoor related activity.

6. Fashion Show- Participate in ONE of the following: Watch a fashion show, organize a community service project for fashionable clothing, participate in a fashion show, view clothing from vintage times OR complete any activity that is fashion related.

7. Daisy Day- Participate in ONE of the following: Juliette Low skit, flat Juliette, tea party, Victorian craft, birthday party or celebration, create a Juliette Low themed craft, color paper dolls, community service project for birthplace or scout related, view uniforms from vintage times OR complete any activity that is Juliette Low related.

8. Swapping- Participate in ONE of the following: Make a swap, design your own swap, make swap item like a banner to put swaps on, teach others how to make swaps, attend an event that has swaps, OR complete any activity that is swapping related.

9. Back to Basics- Participate in ONE of the following: Learn a new skill, camp in a tent, cook over an open fire, host a tea party, make skin care masks, attend a cultural event, create something artistic, make a bracelet, decorate a bandana, OR complete any activity that is listed under our vintage scouting skills program.

10. Global Awareness- Participate in ONE of the following: Learn to count in a different language, recycle, plant a tree, adopt an endangered animal, learn more about the world centers, help another country, try on costumes from other countries, read a cultural story, be a pen pal, OR complete any activity that is global related.

11.Bridging- Participate in ONE of the following: attend a bridging, help organize a bridging, participate in a bridging ceremony, OR participate in any bridging related activity.

12.Cookie Sales- Participate in ONE of the following: make posters, participate in a bake sale, design your own cookie recipe, attend a cookie kickoff event, learn about marketing, budgeting and setting goals for profits, booth sales, sale door to door, OR participate in any cookie sale related activity.
