This program will assist the participants in learning more about the fairy world, famous fairies, sparkly crafts and fun games. To begin your magical fairy adventure all you need is a little creativity and the magic that is within each one of us. It is said that some fairies disguise themselves as dragonflies, butterflies or bees and that only people with fairy sight can actually see them. If you see a circle of mushrooms then fairies live nearby. Midsummers eve is the best time to see fairies and yellow butterflies are their messengers.

1. The collection of fairies has no age bounds. From magic wands to beautiful dolls they are adored by people of all ages. Create a collage of fairy items or natural products, view a collection or start a collection, design your own fairy, or create special treasure box.

2. The tooth fairy comes when a child has lost a tooth. She comes in the middle of the night and retrieves the tooth under his/her pillow. She leaves money and takes the tooth to her tower. Make a tooth pouch, write a letter to the tooth fairy, or create a bag of fairy dust or magic wand.

3. There are a variety of good fairies, pixies, dwarfs, or elves pictured in films, books, TV, or on stage. Choose one fairy to learn more about, watch a film, read a book, or see a play. Examples are Tinkerbell; Fairy Godmother; the Blue Fairy in Pinocchio; or Bridget, Queen Ainé and the other fairies from the Tuatha de Dannaan from "A Faery Hunt." "A Faery Hunt" is parent-approved and rated G for goodness. This DVD is also availble to order through Patchwork Designs.

4. Flower Fairies are shy and happy fairies that live in the flowers. They are sometimes hard to see because they camouflage in their floral surroundings. 5. Night Fairies are said to be the prettiest fairies of all. They come out at night and collect the "star dust" from the sky so they can fly. We commonly call this dust "fairy dust". Create your own pouch of fairy dust, magic wand, lucky charm to wish on, view stars in the sky, catch fireflies, OR have some flashlight fun.

Read a story or poem about a fairy, act out a play, make up a skit, OR learn more about a Fairy helper.
