Information about the Shining Stars Book Club®. 2004 1.Membership Renewal and Duration: You may join monthly or annually. MONTHLY- If you join monthly you can not receive the free sign up gift or the book case to place the charcter books in. This is because you can change your membership at anytime and we provide you with a free gift, just in case you cancel the following month. You can pay monthly with a check, but if we do not receive the check before the 1st of the month, then the monthly shipment will not be shipped. ANNUALLY-Memberships for one year will recive a $20 sign up gift (your choice) and to receive the free sign up gifs. They can be automatically renewed upon your anniversary or membership date. Please contact us for renewal prior to your expiration of your membership. They will receive another free gift upon renewing your membership. Special gifts will be given to girls in their birthday month. We need 30 days to change the records on the computer and stop shipment of your books and items. 2. Credit Card charges: Your credit card will be charged when your monthly selections are shipped. Your credit card will only be charged for this order. We will NEVER charge your credit card for any additional purchases without your prior order authorization via fax, email or phone. If you receive the featured free selections automatically and then cancel your membership, your credit card will be charged for these items. SEE #1 for more information. 3. Free Gifts: If you don't inform us annually of the free item you would like for your membership. A customer representive will make that choice for you according to the age of the child on the membership. Please when you are renewing your membership you may choose your free products as long as they comparable in price to the products we are offering. 4. Returns and shipments: You will be notified every month of the items you will receive in the next shipment, if your cild already has one of these items please let us know and we can substitue the item with something comparable. Most items that are shipped are newly released items or complimentary to the American Girl books. All items received within the membership club can not be returned unless they were damaged in shipment. These items must be returned 15 days after the invoice date. This should be a rare occurance since we will be shipping all items priority mail. The same item will be sent to you upon return of the product to our address. We can not offer returns on any of our American Girl® or book items that we offer. 5. Platinum club members will have a frequent buyer account. Once you have purchased 12 items from the American Girl bookstore you will receive item number 13 free. Total amount of purchase for 12 books will be averaged and you may choose a item of that value or use it towards a credit of another purchase from the bookstore. Your 10% discount can be used in conjuntion with this offer. Offer expires 60 days after the purchase of 12th item. 6.Shipping: Shipping will be free when you add additional purchases to your monthly membership. Please notify bookclub@patchworkdesigns.net of the additions. 7. Adding items to your monthly shipment: Please notify bookclub@patchworkdesigns.net of any items that you would like to add to you shipment. This includes American Girl® Items, patches, and our program books. You would need to notify them at least 2 weeks prior to shipment to ensure these items are placed in your monthly shipment. 8. When are monthly shipments mailed ? All shipments will be mailed on 10th day of the month excluding any holidays. If you join after the 10th of the month you will receive the following month shipment. Example: You join the club December 12th. Your first shipment will be Jan. Your free gifts will be received with your first shipment. 9. Discounts: Platinum Book Club and Gold Book Club receives discounts on all American Girl products just for being a member of the club. Platinum receives 15% off all American Girl® products. Gold club receives 10% off all American Girl Products. The silver club does not receive a discount. These discounts exclude all items that are not located in our bookstore. See above one time introductory offer. This offer is not valid on sale items. 10. Introductory Offer: Platinum members will recieve free shipping and 20% off there first order placed with their membership. All other members will receive 10% off their order and free shipping. This is a one time offer and all orders must be placed when you join the Shining Stars Book Club®. This offer is subject to expire. This offer is not valid on sale items. 11. Contact Information: Patchwork Designs will only use your e-mail address to contact you about merchandise or product offerings which may be of interest to you. We do not sell or share any of your contact information with other companies or organizations. We reserve the right to change basic information about the Shining Stars Club. These changes will be updated on the website and will be posted with the change date. This will not effect your membership if you have already joined the club. Published date November 20, 2004.
