Letterboxing
is an exciting adventure that resembles a “treasure hunt” for
boxes hidden outside. These boxes that you are looking for are
usually hidden in places like parks, walking paths or other public
areas.
In
order to get started you will need to have clues in order to find
the boxes. There are several sites that can lead you to clues
in your area you live in or are visiting. In some cases you will
need a compass to locate the box, as the clues will say go NORTH
etc.
Once
you locate a letterbox there will be a log book that you stamp
your stamp in and a rubber stamp to stamp in your book.
Usually you should bring an ink pad with you because most boxes
don't include them because they dry out over time. Please close
the box back up and secure it back where you found it.
