2. The Nez Perce tribe was the first Native Americans in Oregon to tame and ride horses. Choose a tribe to learn more about. What type of housing did they use? What region of Oregon did they live in? For extra, create an art project depicting the Native American culture. Examples of tribes are: Tillamook, Shasta, Coos, Alsea, and Nez Perce.

Participate in a park program, observe wildlife, collect litter in the parks, have an animal or leaf scavenger hunt, OR take a nature hike to study the flowers, trees, and animals in your area.

How was the wagon constructed to help pull the supplies? For extra create a craft or drawing about one of these topics.
