Operation
Fuzzy Socks was created by Mattea's Joy, a non-profit organization.
Donate new, fun fuzzy socks - size infant to adult. You can
distribute them to the families in need. Collect them anywhere
locally that is willing to let you have "collection bins".

Mattea's
Joy strives to bring joy and touch the lives of families with
hospitalized children while providing comfort and support
with the hope of lifting the families' burdensEarn this patch
by helping Pajama Program collecting NEW fuzzy socks to provide
comfort for families in need.
What is Mattea's Joy?
Mattea's Joy is a non-profit organization that provides meals
monthly to families that have children at the University of
Chicago Comer Children's Hospital as well as at the Ronald
McDonald House near Comer Children's Hospital. Care Packages
are brought to the families at the hospital that include snacks
and any additional items, such as fuzzy socks in the cold
months, to support and comfort families.
In addition, we provide transfer packages to local families
who are transferred to Comer from Riverside Hospital and Provena
St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee that include parking stickers,
a food gift card, gas card, and directions and tips from parents
who have been there before.

Your generous donation can help the parents of hospitalized
children.
- $10 will allow for parents to have a pair of fuzzy socks
to wear on the cold hospital floors.
- $25 will allow parents to have a week's worth of snacks
for times when meals are not available.
- $60 provides a Transfer Care Kit for new NICU parents
transferring to Comer Children's Hospital
- $250 will sponsor a dinner for families at Comer Children's
Hospital or at the Ronald McDonald House.
- Become a Butterfly Sponsor and help us establish and maintain
new programs by pledging to give on a monthly basis.
